Baby's Weight-Height Chart
Your child's doctor will make a note of your baby's weight and height standard units in the growth chart. The reference point is plotted in terms of percentiles. It is important to remember that if your child's measurement falls outside the normal values, a serious evaluation of potential health checkup is required. Being off the chart can mean the measurement is less than the 3rd percentile or greater than the 97th percentile. By obtaining multiple measurements over time, the pediatrician can ensure that both the normal baby and those who were born premature or with risk factors have a steady growth rate.
